Rules

the game

1. You enter with a group — you plus up to five friends. Only they can revive you.
2. A round lasts one day. At one random moment in it, you die — and again the next day, and the next, for as long as you last.
3. Nobody is warned. No notification, no email, nothing. The only way to know is to look.
4. A groupmate has to notice and revive you before your window closes. Reviving takes ten seconds.
5. If nobody notices in time, you are dead. Permanently. Your name goes in the graveyard.
6. The window shrinks every day. A full day to be noticed on day one; fifteen minutes by day seven. Miss it and you are gone.
7. When everyone still breathing is in one group, that group splits the pot.

Most games are decided by day seven. If anyone is still standing after that, five minutes tends to settle it.

the fine print

• The pot starts at $10. Entry is free and always will be — you never pay to play, and you cannot pay to improve your odds.
• Your death is random and provable. It is committed in code before each round starts and published afterwards so anyone can check it. Nobody can know when you will die. Not even us. See fairness.
• Leaving. You can leave your group freely before a season begins. Once it starts you are locked in — otherwise people would abandon a dying group and jump to a healthy one.
• One account per person. Nothing stops you filling a group with accounts you control — but you can only ever be paid once, so every fake friend is a share of your own prize thrown in the bin.
• Getting paid. Every survivor is paid individually, after confirming they are a real person with photo ID. Nobody collects on anyone else's behalf. Any share nobody claims rolls into the next season's pot.
• If everyone dies in the same round, the players of that final round split the pot.
